Lyman Media Separator Basket Repair Kit
This kit fixes the problem of latch breakage on the Lyman media separator basket. Two plates are attached to the basket, one on each side, using screws or bolts. A simple tie wrap (or bread wrapper twist tie) is used to secure the basket halves in place. This is a much improved method of keeping the basket halves closed while the media is being separated from the tumbled items.
This kit includes 4 plates and 2 tie wraps. Bolts or screws are not included.
To install, place a plate in position where the original locking tab was, and drill a small hole that will allow a bolt to pass through so it can be secured with a nut. Repeat for the second hole. Place a second plate on the other half of the basket and repeat the steps to secure it. See included images for plate attachment.
I designed these plates because my locking tab broke after less than a dozen uses. The plates are 3D printed in Black using PLA+ filament.
